Gaimari graduated at the Escuela de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires in 1933. His works in wood and stone are spontaneous expressions of the artist's closeness to nature. With great understanding of different materials, Gaimari incorporated the grain and natural shape of the material in the finished sculpture.
Gaimari often drew inspiration from the human figure and addressed it in his sculptures in a number of ways. His characteristic use of opulent, round surfaces contrasted with empty spaces, give his works a sense of harmony of shapes and a pleasant perception of the volume from all angles.Gaimari obtained a number of significant prizes. He is also the author of the Monument to the Fallen in the Malvinas, located at the War Ministry of Argentina.
